New sound source ROS V.5 Plus

Dynatone launched high-performing digital pianos featuring a three-sensor keyboard and 256-note polyphony with new sound source ROS V.5 Plus.

This time, I'd like to present Dynatone's new sound source ROS V.5 Plus.

The ROS V.5 Plus sound source combines Dynatone's innovative and unique sampling technology with the sound of finest European grand pianos to produce its refreshingly new sound.

With Dynatone's innovative and unique sampling technology in our pocket, and the sound of finest European grand pianos in the other, the ROS V.5 Plus sound source now enjoys a new birth in its new sound.

Due to the sampling technology Dynatone is able to offer a uniquely expressive tone color, its sound deeply resonating with its player providing the most satisfactory playing experience.

Equipped with the sounds of top tier European grand pianos, the ROS V.5 Plus employs the large-capacity MLFSS (Multi Layered Full Scale Sound) to offer its two distinguished grand piano voices. One button click is all that takes to pick your choice that suits your music. These quality grand piano voices could serve many kinds of musical interests.

The abundant sound of a digital piano requires a memory space that is large enough to contain the high-resolution samples.

Dynatone's ROS V.5 Plus supports a total of 8Gb of memory in order to store all its large-sized MLFSS and MLS (Multi Layered Sound) source.

The MLFSS with its extremely large data size, assigns separate sample data to each portion of dynamic range which is divided into many levels, allowing natural expression of forte and piano. To play it is like to have many different types of high-end grand pianos in one hand, due to its inclusion of diverse grand piano sounds with differing characters. With this wide selection of grand piano voices, all genres and styles ranging from 18th century Baroque to contemporary music are fully covered, its expression more accurately in the character of the style.

Dynatone Digital Piano: Production Facility

A Tour through Dynatone's Production Facility

On this post would be a brief online tour of our primary production facility, in order to inform our valued customers of the detailed process throughout which the pianos are being manufactured. While we also have manufacturing facilities established in both China and Indonesia, the primary production establishment is located in the city of Gumi, South Korea, which produces the major portion of our named models. Gumi is a city that has been strategically raised and supported by the Korean government to grow into one of the country’s core industrial complexes. Also residing in the complex are large-scale corporations - those with recognizable brand names, including big names like Samsung and LG to name a few. Dynatone’s renowned research lab for musical instruments also is located in Gumi alongside its factory.

The factory consists of two floors. The first floor is where the main production line lies along with the factory office and material department, whereas on the second floor are the research lab and keyboard department, along with a storing place. It also has a basement floor on which Ping-Pong tables are placed for the benefit of our employees.

The warehouse
The creation of a Dynatone digital piano are achieved only by a combination of deep and complex processes, skilled technicians and unique independent technology. The processes are divided into detailed categories including upper/lower body parts, keyboard, assembly and packaging; to each category a specialized team is assigned.

Main production line
Only the bests of wood are selected to become the backbone of the pianos. Brought to the beginning of the production line, the wood then is trimmed through a number of delicate processes before finally turning respectively into the upper and lower bodies of our final products. Dynatone’s unique brand of keyboard, the ARHA keyboard, is an example of independent technological achievement of the company; the keyboards are manufactured by seasoned technicians on the second floor.
Overview of the
keyboard department
Continuing through the production line, the process of attaching the keyboard to its body is then followed by intensive quality inspection which includes tests on both hardware and software levels; the ‘survivors’ of the test then are passed to the packing department. The process of packing is carefully designed to keep the products safe from possible sources of damage caused by handling during their transportation. Lastly, the people at the office are always occupied with the delivery of products, the purchase of materials and improving the effectiveness of the overall processes.

From trimming the wood and attaching each keys to the key plate to the final shipping of the product, the remarkable crew of our factory is dedicated to producing only the best of instruments to reach the demands of our customers.
